By identifying ourselves with a church, we let the pastor and other members know that we intend to be committed in attendance, giving, prayer and service.  We assure the church of our commitment to Christ in serving with them and we call for their commitment to serve us in love and to encourage us in our discipleship.  Regular attendees benefit from the commitment of other people who have become members and who give and serve and pray regularly.  In short, we enter a covenant relationship with our church and its leadership.
